Mr. Moore has had several years of experience in
litigating patent, trademark, trade dress, unfair
competition, franchise, trade secret and copyright cases from the
plaintiff's and defendant's standpoint. He has
represented clients in litigation resulting in awards of
$1,000,000 or more. This includes a $15,000,000
verdict for patent infringement in the Eastern District
of Missouri, the largest patent infringement verdict in
Missouri. His representation also comprises
successful defense against claims of unfair competition
and patent infringement, as early as the cases Black and
Decker Mfg. Co. v. Ever-Ready Appliance
Mfg. Co., 518 F.Supp. 607 (E.D. Mo.
1981); 684 F.2d
546 (8th Cir. Mo. 1982). Encompassed within his endeavors have
been the preparation and prosecution of applications for
patents, trademarks and copyrights; drafting of
intellectual property agreements including licenses,
assignments, nondisclosure agreements, consulting and
independent contractor agreements, agreements on
employee obligations and covenants not to compete.
Mr. Moore's practice has further included searches,
analysis and opinions involving patents, trademarks,
trade dress, trade secrets, copyrights, franchises and related
anti-trust issues as well as searches and analysis of
title, liens and ownership rights in intellectual
property. Mr. Moore has been involved in
litigation, disputes, applications and analysis
concerning a variety of products and methods including:
plastic molding, footwear, air purification equipment,
animal feeds and feeding apparatus, insecticides and
herbicides; a variety of medical products including
orthopedic braces and implants, blood transfusion
equipment, gynecological products, culturing of fungi,
blood pool imaging, ophthalmologic equipment, food
heating and preparation equipment, ironing boards, step
stools, playground equipment, camping equipment,
printing equipment, grain bins and grain drying
equipment, metal fabrication and formation of metal
products, transportation equipment, telecommunications
equipment and products, human food, hotel services,
automobile equipment, marketing programs; windows, doors
and curtain walls for buildings, soft drinks and
alcoholic beverages, sports equipment, basketball goals,
clothing, furniture, electrical equipment and
transportation services. Mr. Moore has also successfully
represented clients in internet and cyberspace matters
including those compelling the transfer of domain names
of others to ownership of his clients. |
